2. Hosting
This website is hosted at ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Deutschland, hosted. Server and database (MariaDB) are located in Germany. A data processing agreement exists with the hoster (Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, efficient operation (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
3. Server log files
When the website is accessed, information is automatically stored by the host in server log files (IP address, date/time, page accessed, browser type, referrer). This serves technical security and error analysis (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and is deleted after a short time.
4. Cookies & session
The site uses a technically necessary session cookie to ensure basic functions and protection against form abuse (CSRF). No tracking or advertising cookies and no external analytics services are used. Legal basis: § 25 Para. 2 TDDDG (technically required).
5. Encryption
Transmission is performed throughout via TLS/HTTPS encryption.
6. Map display (OpenStreetMap)
On the map page, map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom) are loaded. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to OpenStreetMap's servers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting the journey in a visually appealing manner (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Privacy policy: osmfoundation.org.
7. Fonts
Fonts (Cormorant Garamond, Jost) are delivered locally from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or similar services and no transmission of your IP address to third parties.
8. Support for the journey (Stripe)
For support, we use the payment service provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland; if applicable Stripe Inc., USA). When you provide support, payment data is processed directly by Stripe; we ourselves do not receive or store any credit card or account data. Only the following are stored with us: number of kilometers, amount, status, optionally your provided name, message and email address. The legal basis is contract fulfillment or execution of support (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR). For transmission to the USA, Stripe relies on the EU standard contractual clauses. Stripe privacy policy: stripe.com/de/privacy.
9. Newsletter (double opt-in)
You can subscribe to the journey via newsletter. We store your email address, your language and the time of registration. We use the double opt-in procedure: After registration you will receive a confirmation email; only after you click on the confirmation link will you be added to the distribution list. Delivery is via our host's email server. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email.
If you leave the "Subscribe to newsletter" checkbox activated when supporting and provide an email address, we will add you to the distribution list based on this consent. Here too, unsubscribing is possible at any time.
10. AI-assisted translation & transcription
For the multilingual provision of posts, we use the translation API from Anthropic (Claude) as well as the transcription API from OpenAI (Whisper) for transcribing spoken notes, both based in the USA. Only the content created by the author (texts, audio recordings) is processed — no personal data of visitors to this website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in multilingual, accessible travel documentation (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
11. Location feature
The "Zwischenstop" page can, upon express action, request your device location (browser Geolocation API). The coordinates are only displayed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to the server without your action.
12. Your rights
You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may revoke any consent given at any time with effect for the future. There is a right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Contact: kontakt@frankieundich.de.
13. Storage duration
We store personal data only as long as it is necessary for the respective purposes or as required by legal retention periods. Newsletter data is stored until revoked.
Status: 07/2026. This statement is adapted to the technical implementation; a legal review before going live is recommended.
