what spontaneous decisions at intersections can really make happen 🤣

And from the mountains it went more and more back towards the sea 😊

I had the sun behind me and that looks pretty weird on the rear-view camera screen...

After I had visited 3 recommended pitches that were in noooo way an option for Frankie and me, through diversions and rush hour traffic, in the city of one-way streets, energetically already pretty much at the limit of my possibilities, Frankie and I were just standing there....😊

And were rewarded...😍

It didn't even take 10 minutes before a Swiss couple (Rahel and Eric) were standing in front of Frankie and me to have a little chat à la "where from and where to?" with me. They came down to the beach to treat themselves to the sunset. I know that feeling, I thought to myself, I love it, not just since I've been on the road, and it will probably be my closing ritual for today or rather my arrival ritual. So first I "rebuilt" everything inside Frankie, since travel mode and stationary mode involve two completely different interior concepts. Then the training mat goes in the footwell between the driver and passenger seat, the camping chair and training bag on the passenger seat, the medicine ball on the driver's seat and my "suit bag" over it (Yes, I didn't give away all my suits, but kept one that's on the journey with a shirt and belt...what for? No idea....maybe at some point I'll be asked not to show up somewhere looking like a complete bum...👻). The kettle comes out of the sink, my drinking water filter into the kitchen area, the hotplates are cleared, my wonderful table erected, the wall cabinets are checked and usually with a Bruce Lee move I prevent the things that fall out from landing anywhere other than in my catching hands. 🤣 And BAM 15 minutes later I've filled my stainless steel cup with a white Cretan country wine, rolled a cigarette and walk barefoot the 10 m across the promenade to the beach wall to sit down on it and capture for you the moments that will now follow...😍

My training spot in Ierapetra 😊

Actually, I'm done for today. 😅
On the other hand, I just experienced something lovely again, as Robert from the Barbecue Lounge in Radebeul made an Instagram story, since the cards from "What if Peace Were a Journey" were sent by Lenny from Berlin to Radebeul. He received them today and he wrote a nice little text about it, which motivated me to do another voice message about yesterday's excursion after all.
And the excursion yesterday, certainly comprehensible from the pictures, was impressive, because I was out alone in nature, which was so impressive. On the one hand because of its barrenness and on the other hand because of these incredible impressions.
Yes, the pelican, which unfortunately I didn't get in the picture, was of course also pretty funny, because he accompanied me completely along the shore, always at enough distance from me. I think he doesn't like people, wonder where that comes from. 😂
And this scrambling around in this incredible nature did something to me yesterday, for sure.
It was beautiful and when you also know that this reservoir is fed by two artesian springs, I think, one picture is included, yes, there you can see the river so to speak. This reservoir is fed by two artesian springs. That's totally impressive. And what kind of water that is. What clarity, what coldness. Crazy. Totally crazy.
Unfortunately, I can't get close enough with Frankie, otherwise I would of course refill my freshwater tank with the spring water too. Because it's naturally running low again. That means I'll also get going again tomorrow.
Apart from the fact that my next destination will be Rethymno again, since my brother with his family lands on the 19th and I then only have a few days to be there on site, to give my brother the opportunity, or him and his family, to meet up with me.
Because then it's basically off in the other direction again.
So to the region where I'm currently traveling, since I have a job from November 1st.
So I'll be working at the olive farmer's, who originally comes from Heraklion, at least lives there, with his family, on the olive grove, which I think is 3.5 hectares, so not necessarily the smallest, to generate a steady income for at least two weeks.
That means of course on the other hand seven days a week. Starting at 8 in the morning and finishing work at 5, 6 p.m., when it gets dark here.
Maybe about the individual pictures.
At some point I was in the bay, it's very jagged this lake, where a huge bamboo reed field stands. That's where the green meadow basically emerged. I went in there a bit, it's impressive, because it's 5, 6 meters high. And anyone who has ever been through a reed field or maybe even in a bamboo grove can imagine what that does to you. Totally incredible.
The flowers along the way are beautiful, simply beautiful.
And when I was up on the dam, which has little traffic, hardly any people, I think in the two hours I spent in the area, so around the bays and over the dam itself, I maybe saw three people.
There stands this wonderful crooked tree that seems to defy all wind, that really seems to defy every wind, that's the right way to put it. Then after various ascents and descents I eventually got back to Frankie.
And here behind Frankie, behind the church, a bit further on, is this monumental masonry, which I don't know what it is, what it stands for or what it was used for in the past. I have no idea. It seems ancient and judging by the size here compared to the olive trees, which by the way are all bigger here too, they're not just three, four meters high here. Some of them are already six, seven meters. Completely incomprehensible to me and totally surprising.
What I might still do is send the pictures from this morning's training today, because there are few situations in which I stop my training. So it really has to be storming and really raining or something.
Today it was such that I stopped my training to pause and linger. And why that was, I can send that over to you in a moment. I'll still do that. You'll get the pictures too.
What I wish for all of you beyond that is that you have a magnificent course to this evening.
I wish you all one more smile. Take care of yourselves and have peaceful, joyful moments. Until then.
This is how my training started this morning...😍

And after I had captured a moment for you here and there for an hour, I could no longer "do sports", but sat down and let this spectacle work on me...because the left end of the rainbow was no more than 250m away from me ❤️🙏🌈
